Q: How long has TPI Golf been in business?
A: TPI Golf has been a Michigan - based company since 1994. Since
we are not a franchise we have flexibility to customize our items
and can help with quick decision making. We have insured thousands
of events.
Q: How is the cost of Hole-In-One insurance determined?
A: We
need two items: how many players are shooting at the prize and
what is the purchase price of the main prize? We use purchase
price vs. retail price. Insurance for $30,000 list price car
is going to be higher than the actual purchase price which may
be $28,000. Distance can also be a third variable used
by other Hole-In-One companies. They may charge less when the
yardage is 200 yards or over on a par 3. We believe that takes
the fun out of a Hole-In-One prize for the average golfer so
we have priced our insurance competitively so long hole yardage
isn't a factor.
Q: What is the time-frame for TPI Golf's services?
A: We prefer
a 7 day lead time, but Hole-In-One Insurance, with shipping time
for prize signs, can be done in 2-3 business days. Overnight
is possible with additional shipping charges. Hole-In-One insurance
without prize signs can be secured in less than one day! For
sponsor signs, we will work with you up to the last minute!
Q: What types of payment do you accept for your services?
A: We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, checks and
PayPal.
Q: Can I receive proofs of my signs?
A: Yes, we will provide
proofs if requested. There is no charge for this service.
Q: How are signs shipped?
A: Signs are shipped UPS ground. Overnight delivery is available
for an additional charge.
Q: What happens if someone gets a Hole-In-One?
A: The claim must be reported to TPI Golf the next business
day. A routine investigation will be conducted in accordance
with the contract. This process usually takes 3-4 weeks from
start to finish.
Q: Is there a limit to the prize value I can offer?
A: TPI Golf can insure Hole-In-One prizes up to $1,000,000.
Q: What happens if there is more than one Hole-In-One during
an event?
A: Insurance coverage is for the duration of your event, so
all Hole-In-Ones are covered during the event for the number
of golfers listed.
Q: What are the odds of making a Hole-In-One?
A: For an amateur golfer it is about 1:12,000; for Professional
golfers it is 1:2,500.
Q: What are the odds of making a 50-foot putt?
A: The odds for an amateur are about 1:100! Great odds!!
